Anyone know how to tell on your computer between the ddr 2 and ddr3?

click on run on the start menu, type in dxdiag, and then click on display. Not sure if it will tell you but it only takes about 10 seconds to do.

Look at the core clock speeds in the driver setup. DDR2 cards I think are at 325/350 or somethign close to that. DDR3 I think is at 375, but not sure.

You could always look at your invoice, it will probably say.

not that it really changes much, but I'm pretty sure it's DDR1 and DDR3

when there is no overclocking it says 330 (2d) for core clock, when i choose to overclock, its 330 on 3d setting, is that right for ddr3 version of the 9860?

thanks

DDR3 version is clocked at 330Mhz for the GPU and 1100Mhz for the RAM.

for 3d setting, i have 330 for the core and mem at 600, this is without detecting the optimal settings, this is just clicking on the 3d setting, nothing else.

I really hope i don't have the wrong version

Yeah, thats teh DDR3 version, my card is like that. But when I click set to default it does to 1 Ghz, so yeah. Maybe download 3dmark03/05, and compare you scores with a DDR3 card, and if its closer to that its the DDR3 version. It's what I had to do.

Yep, you've got the DDR3 version. Go play a HL2
