After getting some crazy spyware, which I dont even know how i got, seriously, lol, i used everything to get rid of it and in case your wondering....Microsoft Anti-Spyware works the best, its a beta edition rite now, so im sure eventually its gonna hafta be paid for if you want it in the long run, but yea it completely got rid of all remnants of the spyware.
ANYWAYS....ISSUE 1
Now my auto http:// prefix does not work when typing webpages in IE. (for example to type in a URL I have to type it in with the http:// or else it wont go). I know I'm stubborn still using IE instead of FireFox or Opera, but hey thats how I like it. I checked the registry (under the http:// prefixes key) and the Internet Settings in the Tools Menu of IE, both are what they should be....so maybe some1 here knows what can fix that.
ISSUE 2
My Computer (the icon) now takes about 30-45 seconds to load (the flashlight comes up), which for an 8890 is absurd. All other folders open at normal speed. The best advice I've gotten for it so far was to defrag more than once...so ive defragged twice already and still no improvement, and its not a RAM process issue or a Norton issue even thou I have it, it loaded fine with it in the past. So maybe some1 has other ideas?
P.S.: B+ for good Sager support....Guys make sure u check all screws at least once a month!!!, yes even the lcd ones (they are covered by lil black rubber inserts). Because i guess a screw got loose in my lcd and the metal support which is behind the lcd cracked and eventually the whole right side of the lcd cracked off since the metal support was gone,(OUCH) so i jus ordered and rebuilt a new front and bak lcd/lid cover, (arrived on time) and i sodded the metal support back together, which took some work, and now i open my lcd alot more carefully, but it looks as good as new! Only Downer was that they charged a little more then they sed they were gonna, yes thats besides the shipping costs. But yea overall good job esp since i didnt wanna waste time sending my whole laptop to nevada for like 3+ weeks.
