First off let me say that I love this laptop.

Second my question is my wireless connection seems to drop all the time. I'm about 12 feet from my router and the thing will see the signal fine one min the next its gone. Is there anything I can do to fix this. Any beta drivers for the wireless card or is my router set up wrong.. I got one of those new D-link Gaming routers DGL-4300.. Help this laptop is almost perfect...

hey max effects,

I don't know if this would help you, but I had a similar problem before. It ended up being that my firmware of my router wasn't doing what it was supposed to be doing. They suggested that I upgraded the firmware of the router and I did. All was well afterwords. I hope this helps!

I have the same problem dudes

I will try the update firmware on my router, because whilst on business, I can pick up wireless signals without problem.

same problem here. I am only 1 floor down, and with my 1st 8104 I had no probs, just recently with my new 2nd 8104 I was getting dropped. As soon as I come up its fine again?
Think there might be weak wireless nic?

My router works fine, but my card sux.
It just use my CPU @ 50% like every 20 min for 5 min So my lappy run on 2-th fan speed.
Got no problem with internal card , works fine , but is about 80kb/s on download slower than DWL-G650 .
I tried original drivers form CD & drivers from their web , but nothing helps

What should I do as this wireless card sucks, im thinking of returning it. My first laptop which I only had a problem with left speaker got me a signal of Excellent where im currently using the laptop. The current signal is very low to low.

I think since the new range of laptops have been produced, they have reduced the performacne in couple of the hardware as its definatly showing up in my new one.

Hmmm very interesting, before I connect to the network it shows in the signal bar Excellent. Upon connecting, it drops to Low?
