Ok, two part thread...

1. Worth it to upgade from 1gb to 1.5gbs RAM? I do listen to a lot of audio (workin to get an echo), and do some recording/capturing from camcorders/tv... Also a gamer and love CS. Unfourtunately I haven't had much time lately to check out the NBF server Also, what do you think I could get for the 512 stick of pc2700 I'd be taking out b/c $ is a bit of a consideration...

2. Anyone willing to send me one o the screws that holds down the plate covering the ram if they have one? One of mine is missing... Dunno how... If you don't mind, send me a PM and I'll give u my adress. If you insist I guess I can paypal you .37 c or whatever a stamp costs.... Thanks,

1st you dont need the extra 512 its overkill

No, it's not really worth the upgrade, and for the scew ask the place you bought the notebook from.

Ok then. Another quick question... When I get a 100gb and reformat the HD, is there a way to clear off the RAM too? Clean out all the stuff that is on there and start with a new, clean slate for a fresh install? Thanks,

RAM is volatile. It does not maintain data when it does not have power. In other words, RAM is empty when the computer is turned off.
