4760 audio problems

I recently returned my 5670 because it had a bad speaker skipping problem. Now I have the 4760 and it has new audio problems. Instead of skipping, the sound becomes increasingly garbled and staticy after a short while of listening to music or even any sound that comes from the computer. I have the wireless card turned off and I uninstalled the SOund blaster extigy and the problems still exist. Any new suggestions?

Try muting all of your uneeded audio devices. I have heard that that can have some positive effect.

give this a try:

uninstall you video driver and restart your machine

when the OS detects your new hardware DO not let the OS install the drivers. Have your video driver ready and reinstall it.

That should clear up the video problem you have.

Do the same thing for your sound drivers

Let me know if this helps

Also make shure that you are using the correct drivers for your OS. Windows 2000 drivers don't like XP , and vice versa.

Good luck

I actually reformatted all of windows and reinstalled everything and it has been working fine for a full day now (knock on wood).
I really think that did the trick.
