Sager 3360C; moving from W'98 to W'2000

Thread Starter
Perhaps there is a driver issue here, perhaps not: I am switching from Windows '98 to Windows 2000. Trouble is, I am unable to re-establish my internet connection over phone line. Actually have both '98 and 2000 set up for now. In '98 everything is still fine; I can still connect. In 2000, I am unable to find the same modem. Do I need a new/different one, or what? Any advice, any help appreciated.

Thanks Gary, but I inadvertently posted the wrong product no. Is advice the same??? If so, what precisely is the url of that microsoft update site?

Again, thanks in advance.

The modem in your laptop is a WINMODEM (Not a real modem). It is not WIN2K compliant. If you went to the Microsoft Update site and ran their "system scan" progrm it will identify any hardward that is not WIN2K compliant. Had the same problem with my 3360V shortly after I bought it.
