I ordered my machine on Feb. 28th, so you can update the chart accordingly.
I'm also just about to phone Dell and see what the status is right now -- wish me luck.
Well now I am really ticked off -- the rep I just spoke to today (Josh) told me that it looks like the hard drive I ordered (60GB 7200rpm) on backorder, and could take up to 15 business days to get. I was NOT told this by the rep I talked to on Monday (I believe it was Stephen), and was told that my machine will probably be shipped out by the end of this week.
I've been waiting for nearly a month already, and it took until the 18th just to see my order status on the Dell website (where it says "order date: March 17th) and now they tell me I have to wait longer (AND to hear that orders have already shipped out that were placed later than mine just annoys me even more). Did any of you guys who have shipping machines order the same hard drive?
This is definately a downturn for Dell for me -- and is starting to really make me wonder if I should just cancel this order (if I can -- it's through Dell Financial Services).
