Is Dell shipping early on XPS gen2 laptops

I just received an email that Dell has shipped my new XPS gen2 laptop...one week early!!...has anyone else received an early ship date also????

P.S. thanks to all on this forum ....your info I have read with zeal and it helped me make a happy purchase....I only hope that Dell made me a great laptop!!!

Yes. I did as well. But there is a new forum that this thread should have been started under. It's 'Dell 9300 / Dell XPS 2" Not under the Centrino forums.

Ordered march 14

Mine is in the boxing phase. Any one know how long it takes to ship from this phase.?

Within the past hour my order has completed kitting and build. It is currently in the testing phase. This is after spending 7 days in the production stage. All this info is off of the web's order status page. I ordered the machine on 3/2/05 and have always had a ship date of 4/12/05. My config is in my signature.
