UPS and shipping - Page 2

The UPS site says I will recieve it tomorrow, if so that is AWESOME. Props to UPS too, because it says they just recieved it today. I only have 2nd day, so that would be really fast. As many items as I have ever got from UPS, the all have arrived on the scheduled ship date if it wasnt delayed, so no reason this would be different.

My UPS guy doesnt come early for me unless it is next day air. I usually get mine around 5pm. Gonna be a long day.

My 9300 Shipped using ground also....currently in Transit fron Nashville, TN (I live in San Antonio, TX) So it's supposed to be here on the 28 so I guess thats 2 days.

BTW, I ordered on 3/20/05 Order shipped 3/24/05 4 day! That seems pretty good eh ?

Yep, mine shipped 3-24 from Nash TN, was scheduled for overnight but UPS says Ground and estimated delivery of the 28th WTF, if it shipped on the 24th and it was overnight delivery why is it not going to be here until the 28th???

My XPS2 shipped yesterday and this morning I got confirmation from UPS that it will be delivered via GROUND service on Monday. I had a free upgrade to NEXT DAY shipping from Dell - probably would have still gotten here on Monday even with NEXT DAY.

Two-day shipping from Dell doesn't always mean '2nd Day Air', it means that the package will arrive to your house within two days from the ship date. If UPS can achieve this via Ground service, then that's what Dell uses and you still got two-day shipping. They have a deal with UPS to use the most efficient way of getting packages out to customers within the chosen time frame (2-day, 3-5 day. etc.)

mine is listed as rescheduled from delivery today to a scheduled delivery on monday . It was in Nashville last night. Oh well.

Then how do you explain my case... shipped yesterday (3-24) should be overnight putting it here today (3-25) but tracking says ground with delivery date of (3-28)??? I had overnight delivery on mine, but it's going to take 2 days...

It wouldn't explain your case. You were told you were getting next day and they didn't deliver (literally). I'd call Dell and bitch. Unless Dell tells you that it missed pick-up on the 24th. If Dell's shipdate says 3/24 then you can complain about it.

Same here, changed on me last night too. Changed from today to monday. Mine is in Nashville TN too... I'm on the phone with Dell right now to find out why???

UPDATE:
Just got off of the phone with Dell, the contacted UPS and said that UPS did admit they screwed up and that they would put a priority ship status on my item and intercept it at the next stop and have it delivered to me by Saturday. Whooootttttt.... They also gave me a $100.00 credit back to my account... Man they have the best CS (when you can understand them).

hah this is awesome, I chatted w/ a dell rep yesterday about my thing saying ground, so they send me a free bag, and i'm getting it today!

Same here.. they promised me countless times that they upgraded mine to next-day for free.. so I shoulda had mine on friday... but they shipped it via ground so i won't have it till Monday... bastards!!

I was upgraded to next day. I tried to pick it up on Thursday but they said I had to wait. Got it on Friday.
