Yay!!!!!!! got the Samsung

Just recieved my 9300 this afternoon and I got the k99** screen. Powerstrip confirmed it to be the Samsung. This screens is freaking nice. It still has a bit of sparkle but nothing like the 9200 LG's. The screen has no light leakage and the white's are acceptable. Definately keeping this one. I honestly thought that the screen was going to be a bit brighter but I haven't had the chance to play around with the settings just yet. Just got done swapping out the memory for a pair of 512's. Honestly, if I didn't read these forums about sparkle, I don't think I would have noticed the hint of light sparkle with this screen. Definately 1000X better than the 9200's.

Cool. I wonder if this latest batch of 9300's will all have Samsungs.

I was hoping for that. I didn't mind the longer wait as long as I got a good screen. I was in the build stage for a full 10 days since 3/8. Maybe they did wait for a better batch. Tell you what Dellbert, this screen rocks. Almost as good as Sony Vaios. None the less, very acceptable for the package.

by the way, the intel wireless is freaking flawless. it actually worked better than the dell wireless that I had in my 9200.

damn I can't get over the clarity of this screen. It really does look "Truelife."

step 1: log online and retrieve service tag number - usually as soon as your system ships you can retrieve your new service tag number online (see link below) by entering your customer number or order number.

http://support.dell.com/support/topi...=19&l=en&s=dhs

Next, add your XPS2 order to your Dell account by selecting the option "Add to My Systems List"

step 2: go to >> my account >> my support >> my systems & peripherals >> click on your XPS2 service tag number (or enter service tag) and lookup your XPS2 original configuration

Example: when I lookup my Inspiron 8500 system under my account it actually shows more detail about my LCD than my packing slip - 7T774 - LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, Wide Super Extended Graphics Array, NO-SPWG, 15.4, SAMSUNG

it says theres no orders for my customer number or my order number but on my order status it gives me a UPS tracking number. btw it says it shipped from Patrick, NV??? i thought it came from nashville? Well its better for me anyways because i live in UT so my standard 5 day shipping may only take 2

I'm still waiting for the anti-glare coated screens to run out. I'm betting either the Samsung or the LG will look great with the gloss coating only.

As if there's too much difference between an LG Philips or a Samsung Screen

got the LG too. I am excited to see how it looks. if I dont like it, I will not be afraid to have dell replace it.
