UXGA viewing angle

I bought a 5670 a month ago with a UXGA screen. My friend also bought a 5670 with almost exactly same specs about the same time. The problem is he has the 85 degree viewing angle and I don't. My screen looks fine if you look straight on but not any other angle. Looking down from the top it turns bright, up from the bottom or either side the colors invert.

looks like you got the "Old" UXGA...verify this with Sager and if you have paid for the wide viewing angle UXGA then I think you are entitled to a replacement of the LCD...

How long ago did your friend buy his laptop? Sager ran out of the wide angle viewing screens a couple of months ago so they just shipped regular uxga screens for the time afterwards. You saying that you only ordered your 5670 a month ago seems to fit in that time period thus you were probably only meant to get the normal version and not the wide angle version.
