7700 fan chirp, any fix yet?

Still waiting for a bios fix on the 7700 for the crazy fan activity. When I turn the unit it on it idles at about 60-62C and the fan chirps like crazy. If I turn the unit on its side and let the temp climb to 70 and then lay it flat (all fans kick on full) the unit settles back down to 50 and stays there all day. The one fan just chirps away and doesn't start until it gets some real voltage.

Wondering if anyone has heard of an approximate date for a bios update for this? Lot of money to spend on a laptop and have to turn it on it's side every morning to deal with a silly fan voltage issue.

Other than that the lappy rocks. Best screen I have ever seen. It's a joy to look into.

Thanks to all...

Dave

Seems that some have and some don't. It really is a pain. NO dead pixels here either...

Pure perfection here

best way to fix it is to close the lid and put lappy into sleep mode then reopen. for some reason this kicks that second fan on and stops the chirping ..only untill the next time however.
