I purchased a Latitude D600 from eBay last week. Everything seemed fine, I left positive feedback. Yesterday my laptop's battery ran out of power and I realized that, despite having the laptop plugged in for many hours on several occassions, the battery has never charged since I bought the laptop. The battery came charged at 100% but now refuses to go above 0%. The AC adapter works to run the laptop, but won't charge the battery.
What is my problem? A faulty battery seems likely to me, but the fact that it was fully charged when I recieved the laptop makes me wonder if something else might be going on here...Is there some setting I have missed I'm hoping not to buy an extra battery without being sure it will solve my problem.
