Does anyone know if Sony or a 3rd party produces a high capacity battery for the A270/290/690? I'm getting about 2:15 out of the stock battery, which isn't bad, but I'd really like to get something equivalent to the high capacity batteries Dell offers. Thanks.

High capacity battery for A series?

Or external battery charger?
I'm also interested in extended battery life. I was thinking more along the lines of perpetual battery usage, by having an external charger. In other words, with two batteries and an external battery charger, I could sit on my deck and compute unplugged while the 2nd battery is charging. When the first runs out, I swap batteries and continue.I've searched sonystyle and googled, to no avail. Is there any way to charge a 2nd battery without using the A690 itself?

i find it hard to believe that nobody has come up with this kinda thing. i frequently work in starbucks where there may be a power outlet, but may not be a seat adjacent to it!
i just bought the dell 9300 which has a terrible sparkly dim screen, and im looking maybe at a sony instead.
this 2:15 is at what brightness?

There are two companies that make those battery slabs that sit on the bottom of your laptop and connect to your ac jack. I'm not sure if there is enough power to juice the Sony since it's uses something like 150+ watts. But for other normal 15" laptops, they can power +8 hours. Can't remember the product name offhand.
