I just ordered the Crumpler "Crisp Suit"
to see how it compares.
Question on the Boog, does the accessories packed in the back of the bag bang against your hip while carrying it? Any additional padding?
I saw the actual Crumpler bag at J&R a while back. It is HUGE and bulky, the whole body of the bag is padded, so it constantly in its "inflated" volume, more or less. The construction appears to be tough, meant to be carried for extensive travel.
But I don't remember seeing a lot of internal pockets for accessories though. I would think of this bag as heavy-duty messenger bag which pads a laptop.
For myself, just ordered a Timbuk2 Commute XL. timbuk2 page
, and currently REI
has a 20% discount. See discount detail on REI homepage.
I have been using the regular timbuk2 commute for my thinkPad. No compaints at all, the best is that it is Waterproof. But I don't know if the built-in sleeve is big enough for the lappy, it was designed for the 17" Powerbook. I will find out next week and update.
