I would love to have 100+ GB but I would rather have better performance.

Could somebody post a pic of the 130watt powerbrick, preferably next to some common object for size comparison. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the pics rock. It's nice to see at least one person didn't disappear after posting their 'It's here it's here' thread.

It works great on the GPU fans with both the 9200 and 9300 machines I've played with. I was toggling them on and off via the software to test and it spun up the GPU fan when asked and does so when it hits the set temp.

Yes, I applied the Reg patch after I installed it on the 9300.

So, the version of i8fangui patched for the 9100/XPS works correctly on the 9300/XPS2? If so, somebody should stick this info in the FAQ and provide a link.

Yes, in addition to seeing within the program that they are on and running, I also see both fans spinning, here both (testing one at a time, then putting my ear to each) and can feel the 'breeze' from both fans when the program triggers them both on. Like on the 9200, the GPU fan is a bit quieter than the already quiet CPU fan.

Was this not supposed to work? If this worked on the 9200, why wouldn't it work on the 9300? Also, I just applied the patch because I thought I had to, I am not sure if it would have worked without it.

On a side note, the NVIDIA GPU gets very hot in the 9300 so I would be conservative with your FanGUI settings - or just let the fans run as they will toggle on and off constantly. The GPU heats up just with web-surfing which is a bit too hot for my tastes - unless the fans are always running (and this is with performance set down to minimum).

Do you know which screen(s) you are getting yet?

I don't think the patch is widely known among 9300/XPS2 owners, so most of them are trying to run the unpatched version and not getting GPU fan control.

Yes, I peeked. SPARKLEMANIA! I'm still expecting it to be much better than the 9200 LG, though, so I'm open to evaluating it.

Wait a sec, I don't think I fully understood what the problem with FanGUI was. I thought that people couldn't get FanGUI to get the GPU fan to come on at all - but now (after reading more post and doing more tests) I see that the program doesn't turn the GPU fan when it reaches the set temp. It only does it when the CPU reaches the set temp. I wonder if this was the case with the 9200, but the CPU always got hotter first so I never noticed? In any event, looks like the GPU bug is apparent on mine as well.

As far as the LG Sparkle on the 9300, while it is MILES better than the WUXGA LG on the 9200, it is still noticeable. However, I am not a fan of Samsung's notorious 'yellow tint' on top mega light leakage. The colors are great and there is almost no light leakage. I just wish it were brighter with less 'noise'.
