Has anyone tried the Motorolla Wireless G router? Radio Shack carries those and now Wal-Mart has started too as well. I believe they are around $50.00

Another vote for the WRT54GS using the 'optimized' HyperWRT firmware!

I'm not saying that it will always be like that, but their support just sucks. In the end they released a "revision b" of the 614 that was entirely different, yet didn't bother to fix their old version.
I have a Linksys now, and it has a slight problem with its DHCP server (couldn't be bothered to upgrade the firmware yet, as it is supposed to be fixed), but it is working like a charm.
I only hear good things about NetGear either and had it under close consideration. Go for either NetGear or Linksys, and stay clear of crap like Belkin, D-Link, Buffalo or OEM stuff. You will save yourself a LOT of time and worries.
completely talking out of your arse...you might have gotten a faulty d-link, but that doesn't mean they are all crap. in fact linksys has a higher failure rate. i went threw three bad WRT54GS before I got a good one. and i've had several other linksys models as well. i've also owned d-link, belkin, SMC, netgear etc, and they are all fine.

i have a belkin pre-n currently (replaced my linksys, not because the linksys was faulty, but b/c i had to have it) and it is very well constructed and rock solid.

as far as made in taiwan/asia etc, i think you should check your facts before you make a ignorant blanket statement like that..or better yet, open up your stuff.

Oh well, my D-Link Di-514 of wirelless just have the name, it is incredibly unstable with my new 700m and with my Axim prior to it and with my sister's Dell notebook. Although i never had problem with the wired desktops. Checking on CNet.com my router has a crappy rate by the users.

Now, has anyone used the Belkin Wireless Pre-N router???
the reviews are really good, but then for $120,00 better be f good!!

Probably this is a bit off topic. But i also have a question about wireless router also. I will be back for vacation to my home country in couple of months. I would like to buy a wireless router here, in the US (Since it's much more cheaper).. However, the electricity current in my country is 220v, while in the US it's 110v. The router that I ever saw commonly only able to accept 110v. Are there any router that give us an "International" Power adapter, that is able to accept 110v-220v electricity current? Thanks

ps: I prefer not to use step up or step down adaptor

I got the Netgear WGR614 and I was able to set it up to work wirelessly but it was unsecure. I change settings to make it secure and now it won't let my laptop connect. Then I go into the Intel Pro Wireless program to try and fix it and then Windows will no longer automatically find networks.

FWIW, WPA encryption works fine for me using the Broadcom-based TrueMobile 1370 Mini-PCI nic.
