Screen Different on 8104

Got a replacement because my last notebook had a headphone jack issue, but the new one that came has a different screen that the one that my old one has. It is thicker and I can actually tell a weight difference. It also has a little light leakage which was different from what I had before. I guess one good thing that did come out of it was that the dvd drive didn't make as much noise. Did anyone have the screen issue?

what do u mean light leakage?? one thing i noticed with the screens is that they are thing on this laptop which has me worried a bit at times, when shifting the screen u can see the water mark thing ..

The light leakage is that the bottom part of my screen shows some lightness to it despite suppose to being black like with a screen saver with the background all black.

My screen had some flickering problem but with a new battery an adapter I've had no problems. However, I don't know if it is just me psyche myself out but the screen seems to refresh slower or something or the backlight changes a little bit because it seems like it when I am looking on a white background. How noticeable was ur guys flicker?

Somehow this new laptop seems slower too, the startup takes longer but they are the same machine and I have the same hard drive (7200 rpm one that I put in).
