Would you be satisfied with this LCD? The spec you see to the right of center is a stuck bright green pixel. Also, this is what my eyes see as in the pic.

I'd hate it! No way would I accept that.

I would be satisfied with that LCD. If I paid $5 for it.

Call them and make them replace that screen!

It's the Samsung. It has very sharp text and it's very bright. Great colors with Gamma correction too. Apart from the leakage issues I've been having(no jokes) and that pixel, it's a great screen.
I almost feel like Dell is giving me these on purpose.hehe It's quite a coincidence to have 2 really s*itt* screens in a row.

yeah man, get that fixed ASAP, looks like garabage by anyones standards

Something positive about this screen. It looks pretty good even with partial sunlight on it.

Am I the only one who notices the light leakage?
hey, so that first picture looks blurry cause of your camera? (I havent read every post in here, but that last picture looks amazing.)

Could you post a picture using Microsoft Word or something with a text program?

It is a nice laptop, spec-wise. But until I get mine on Wednesday I won't be making any judgements. I am worried about the size, graphics power, LCD and keyboard. If I'm not satisfied I will just return it and purchase one later in the year since I will be using it for University, which I start after the summer.

I hear Fujitsu are releasing a good one. But in response to what this thread is actually about, the screen is faulty so send it back. Demand compensation or take your business elsewhere.

wow, hahah thats horrible...

not only the stuck HUGE pixel, but the light leakage all over..

i would return that LCD and hassle the $hit out of them for making me replace the LCD 3 times.. maybe they'll give you a free printer or case or something

What is your screen res? I am guessing 1920x1200. I recently got a wuxga for my 6000d, but the text is way to small. I am going to either downgrade to a wsxga or return it and get a 9300. I am not sure what I am going to do. I am a heavy gamer and I need a better graphics card than what the 6000d gives.

Yes, could you open a text document or possibly open up a internet window and go to msn.com for instance. Thanks.

Dell knows that the lcd's are bad but they continue to ship them? They are spending additional money that isn't needed, how dumb.

Very very nice and rich red, orange, and pinks there. Too bad about the light leakage on an all black screen.

That sucks. Feel bad for you Despotes. Here's my Samsung:

Picture is a little blurred, but black is black. No light leakage and no dead pixels.
