Presario 700

ok so i have my friend presario still and im trying 2 take it apart to fix the power switch how do u manage to get the MB out of the case in the last part up near where the plug is actually at yes all the screws are taken out ive tryed everything i could think of any help would be great. also. i removed the piece that is connected to the HDD and Battery if i replace this piece will it charge the battery correctly and such, as i have read that that is the main problem with the battery is the part gets fried and wont charge it properly would this fix it? thx

Did the charger board solve the problem? Im having the same problem could someone enlighten me please

ended up not ordering it... or any parts for that matter.... the computer wont turn on... i think i burned something when resoldering the plug back on

I had a presario 900 that I thought had a bad charger board, it ended up being the external power supply itself, replaced it and bingo, problem solved.
I t looked like there was nothing wrong with it, but that is what it was. Hope it helps.
