i9300 Fan Control Utility

I know a lot of people on here use FanGUI, and I've tried it, but it doesn't read the GPU temp correctly AND control of BOTH fans (GPU fan and CPU fan) are based soley on CPU temps. Not good when you've got a hot running GPU.

Is there a way to fix this? (Aside keeping the fans on high all the time) Or, is there a better utility for controlling the fans?

If your using an Nvidia card then you can apply Coolbits Registry to your drivers which now include a very useful Temp Threshold (97 c) and current temp monitor which for me is avg at 49c. Also if your an overclocker it has a useful (Optimal Overclocking Clockspeed) button which determines what your cards maximum speed it can achieve.

wow, no fangui type application for the 9300?

totally unacceptable; deal-breaker, even.

i'm sure eventually it'll come, as it is essential!

I actually did use cool bits to set the alarm on the nvidia card (97C). The temp reading on coolbits is accurate but the one on FanGUI isn't. I also did use the auto-detect to overclock my GPU. 361/731. I like.

Still setting the stuff in nVidia's driver doesn't stop the fan spinning when the machine isn't doing anything.
