OH MY EYES!!!! If your teachers allow you to carry them in school then that would be okay. If you can bear carrying 12 pounds in school also. I think you should be careful though, people might steal that monster.

Instead of games I would suggest maybe “Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing”.

I say stick to studying in school. leave the gaming as a treat when you get home at night. but I'm old school and hold school pretty high on the priority list. This is sort of what's going wrong in the education system nowadays, kids are getting away with too much and there's not enough structure. If you bring it to school you should use it for school work. this ends my lecture, hehe.

Like I said in another thread, get 512 at least.
Yeah, less than 512 is going to be a problem on most current games, and 256 would stab itself in the heart and bleed to death rather than play an MMORPG. If you can spring for 1 gig, that's a good upgrade, but 512 would serve you quite well.
I would seggest 1 gig, partially because that is slowly becoming the new standard in ram...256 is a bad idea, maybe good for basic use, like internet and what not...512 is good for basic gaming, like wow, or call of duty and maybe doom3, But if you really want to be loading fast and not have a slow system I would defintly suggest getting the 1gig....2 gigs is a bit much right now...a bit expensive as well.

good god, how many threads did this "kid" start? Look papa, we've all been in the waiting/phase game before...and we understand your frustrations and anticipations...so w/ this time, use it constructively to learn about the type of machine that you have...there's no such thing as a bad question. Please ask away.

But, the best things learned is to pretty much learn it yourself, but educating yourself from the enourmous amount of reviews and other member's post's....ok I'm done now

LOL..Yang...I told you...he stated a whole bunch of threads with the same topic...but different titles...he's trying to throw us off...LOL

or spelling and basic sentence configeration may be of some aid also but I might suggest you do not take it to school until you have a better grasp of basic english and/or typing with spelling added or were you just kidding us?

I have a better idea...start school all over again and this time pay attention and do not sleep in class...read what you attempted to write, your parents must be embarassed beyond belief or your pulling our collective chains...which is it?

I can't believe it had enough smarts to switch on a pc and connect onto the 'net, find these forums and then post

i want it so bad i just wanna know is hypertreading technology where it protects the hard drive and i really need a straight answer

Guy, the general impression you give with the multiple posts and the frenetic typing is of a ritalin-deficient attention-seeking 4yr old.

Calm down, take a deep breath and THINK before you type.

And the answers to your questions are:

NO

YES

NO - TAKE EXTRA LANGUAGE/GRAMMAR/SPELLING CLASSES INSTEAD OF GAMING AT SCHOOL

NO

YES WE NOTICED.

Oh nos! You made a terrible mistake. The 7700 is not powerful enough for Doom 3 or Half life 2!!!

Hey guys...says he doesn't even have a teacher in one of his classes...you think is shows?...might there be any teachers where he goes to school or is this a work release program?
I think IMO that he needs not worry about taking his lappy to school, and just study instead...His poor english is badly reflected in his posts and should be addressed at this time.
As far as HT ago, its surprising you have a computer...but that technology is not part of "Keeping your Harddrive safe" If you want something like that you might want to do one of 2 things....

1. Steal a Military grade system...(have fun with that)...try joining and then go MIA with a laptop.

2. Go get the New IBook. It supports the Harddrive lock. Which freezes the heads in place in the event you drop your notebook by accident...

The problem with the latter is that only 4 year olds drop a notebook from a really high up table...I on the otherhand drop it from on top of a building to see if it really works...if it doesn't then I tell the person...it didn't work..I would get a refund from Apple. and get an Alienware instead....
