Ive only just got/played UT2004 (dont play games often).. love it......but
Ive noticed while playing online, now and then, maybe 2-3 times during a 20-25min match it will pause, usually while im being killed. I have tweaked my windows, tweaked UT2004 a little with things like cachesize=64 (to prevent pauses due to loading during play) and ive not noticed this with any other game ive played. Nothing is runnin in background etc.. got fast dsl and ive watched the router lights flickering away while its paused for half a second and theyre happily flickering.. Hd light isnt on either so its not the connection or the hd accessing (i assume). Not seen anyone else complain of this exactly, but are saying its pausing for a lot longer than half a second, so im wondering, What is it?
