Canadians with XPS2 delays - Page 8

Still waiting. Spoke with Dell Canada. But no idea what's happening with shipping yet.

Mine was scanned on Saturday and yesterday as well. According to Puro tracking site, there is only one box. Does that mean my napsack is included in that shipment? There was no weight listed.

That was 4 days total from shipping then until you got it? Was there a weekend involved?

I can't remember how long it took my printer and router to get here in Edmonton because I wasn't really paying attention since they were freebies (that was the deal when I ordered). Plus, they might send the free crap the slowest, cheapest method available.

well 3 days from April 3rd, which is when our's were scanned should put them into Calgary on Wednesday. Then one day to our individual locations. Thursday looks like the happy day!

This would seem to suggest 5 days from the first scan, right? Didn't we all get the first scan on the 3rd? So, wouldn't that suggest Friday delivery?

Hmmm....yeah, you're probably right. I didn't actually have a scan time until Sunday. Dammit...this is going to be the longest week ever.

Hay, just a quick question for you guys. I am from BC and I am working overseas. I am coming home in 3 weeks. If I order an XPS2 now, do you think it would beat me home? Can I get someone else to sign for it you think? I would like to be there when it comes. Sounds like I am safe but I don’t know.

Comments appreciated.

Edit: I guess that was 2 questions, sorry.

I'd wait a week Egmonster. It looks like they are filling orders pretty quickly now.

So apparently my truck has arrived, though the rep didn't know if it was Calgary or Toronto, and I should have a waybill number this afternoon. It will be assigned as it is unloaded. Very interesting.

I think it would beat you home, yes. Most of us have endured the long wait times, but I think Dell is catching up now.

Yes, anyone can sign for it.

Fate, how was your rep able to tell where the truck was if there is no tracking number?
He called someone (I'm guessing purolator). They know the truck number that it is on, just not the waybill #. He didn't seem concerned at all, sounded like this is the way things are done. Totally different than everyone else's experience but....idk.
Thanks guys, I will do that. Heck if they are catching up that much maybe i can wait untill i get home..... Nah!
My i9200 was shipped on a Monday and recieved on a Thursday, so I have no idea how weekends are affected. I'd assume that they wouldn't deliver to your house on a weekend but I doubt the drivers would pull over on the road wait the weekend out and then start driving again on Monday. Regardless, we should certainly have them this week. Which is good for me cuz I'm on Futurshops "Trial two weeks" with my current lappy and have to return it before next saturday.
Hopefully Tuesday, or Wednesday. Wednesday is 5 days from the first scan on the 2nd.
Elvis, your scan was on the 2nd? Did you actually have details available on the 2nd? Mine said shipped April 1st and I've had tracking numbers since then, but no scan time until Sunday.
I've had a tracking number since Friday night and the first scan was on Saturday with the last one on Sunday.
Do you have a location for the scans? Or do they both say In Transit in US....sorry for all the questions. Where are you located?
No Problem. They both say IN Transit US. I'm in TO.
