Am I just crazy? - Page 2

I tried this new profile (named dellbert) and it is still quite off.

It does make the grays a bit better.
I called and they have sent the boxes for me to mail it in... I'm still debating.
If it doesn't make it back by sunday.. or if it is worse...

I'd have to return it and go with out a laptop for quite a while.

Can I get used to the "wrong" colors, or should I do the lottery for something better.

To me your CRT looks more "wrong" than the LG but neither are that great colour wise, if colour accuracy really matters to you I strongly recommend getting a colorvision spyder (about $200 I think) and using that on all your screens to calibrate them. It takes a lot of the guesswork and fiddling out of calibration and makes consistency in image editing much less of a pain (I edit photos professionally for publications so I have a fair bit of experience with colour troubles).

Maybe it's just me but I like the look of the picture on the 9300 better.

Well I have the photograph and the CRT is right on the money. And liking black and white over sepia is a prefrence. The problem is the colors are diffrent for the 9300 and any other computers displays, so unless every image I make is for other 9300 users I can't use this laptop to do it.

Yah. Some people like colder colors some people like warm sepia looking colors.

It's all about what you like.
