Ahh ok same here. I'm anxious to see a tracking number there so I can follow its route lol. BTW I had the same issue as you did, the order status column says "shipped march 28" but when I click on the order itself and view the build progress, it lists march 29 as the ship date. Also, the automated phone lists march 28 as the ship date. I guess dell can't figure out when they shipped it.

From my experience and readings here in the forum, dell is doing some shady stuff with the shipping. Promissing one thing and doing another. I've found they offer NextDay shipping, but they ship it ground from someplace close to your home and if it arives "nextday" they say see, it was nextday. One of the big problems with this practice is that from my experience ground packages are treated in a whole seperate "inferior" class than overnight packages. Not sure what this means. Does dell hae a plan in Nevada? or has it alrready shipped to UPS in nevada?

Both my 9300 and XPS2 shipped from NV. I think that's their relatively new west coast distribution hub.

That's the last place I want my XPS 2 to go through since vanilla's xps 2 got ripped off there.

I was completely shocked this evening to check the status and see that my unit has shipped! The estimated ship date when I ordered it on 3/22 was 4/20, and here it is only 3/29 and it has shipped. I am very happy...only problem is that on the UPS site is says GROUND instead of 2nd Day...but I won't complain since it shipped early to begin with...

Yeah same here mine says ground even though its 2 day. Doesn't matter though since according to their new revised delivery schedule it's gonna get here tomorrow. Did you get a tracking number yet?

So two day shipping was acutally 1 day from when they told me it shipped.
Luckely i work am working from home today. But I dont know if it will get ther at 8:30am or at 5pm. Other UPS shippments have arrived around 4pm. So thats what I am expecting.
FedEx gives me an estimated time of arival. UPS does not.
