Do I Need the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility?

ALERT--NEWBIE QUESTION

I ordered my 8890-v with no operating system. I plan on installing XP-pro. I was searching the forums to see if I had to enable Hyper-threading or not, and it looks like I have to check in the BIOS, before installing XP. Then I ran across this link:

and worked my way to here:

http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/inf/inf.htm

we have the Intel® 865PE chipset in the 8890's, and YES means to down-load the utility.

Does Sager already take care of this, or will this be included in my SAGER driver disk?

Thanks for any advice.

it's on the driver CD.
