World of Warcraft Speed Bug on Area 51m

Heya folks,

It seems as though Area 51m users are having trouble with World of Warcraft. I'm one of 'em. My character moves 20-30% slower in the game.

Check these threads for excruciating detail:

Has anybody here experienced this problem with their 51m? More importantly, has anybody found a solution or workaround?

I read those threads and it's definitely not limited to AW comps.. lappy or othewise. Sorry I don't know what's happening to you but it looks like plenty of Dell users and others are having the same prob..

My 7700 has not experienced any problems since the new patch. The new patch today claimed it had something in it for crashes but probably not related. Hate to recommend it but you should probably try the usuals first.. reinstall wow, maybe reinstall vid drivers or look for new ones..

Sorry you are having probs.. nothing more frustrating. I was one of those having the massive disconnect problems early on.

Thanks for the reply. I've run the gamut of install/uninstall/update/etc... and have run out of ideas. The Dell users seem to have developed a workaround and it doesn't work on my Area 51m.

Thanks again.

You know its funny, after I installed the new patch I was in game walking some place...and I crashed out...LOL...I thought the patch fixed that issue...oh well. What was really funny was that I had never crashed out ever, so I thought it was an interesting bit of information.
