Fed Ex

Several of us had our computers shipped out on, or around, the same date last week. In watching other threads it became apparent that some folks were getting a bit more in the way of tracking information than others. Alien Head13 seems to know where his lappy is within a 3 mile radius whereas Delta and I have not seen any updates since they were scanned through at the Orlando facility (see below). I called FedEx and after a little persistence was able to speak with someone. What I found was that since my desktop shipped by ground (en route to Ohio) that no further tracking updates will be generated until it arrives at my door, on the 31st. Makes the phase game automated updates look a little better by comparison.

hmm...well today its being delivered to my place of deliveration..but unfortunatly nobody is going to be there to recieve...so technically it will not be received till tomorrow.

Its here!.....Yay!...I am not there to get it...and won't be able to get it till friday...But its there...My rents just called to tell me, they got the boxes...WOOHOO!!!! *dances for joy*

<laughing> Yeah, I keep waiting to gets pictures of the "Wandering Gnome" and my Alienware box next to all sorts of little road side attractions and mom and pop dinners between here and Florida.

OH MY GOD....I just called FedEx, my freaking computer is the ONLY thing on the truck, and it was DELAYED. What the heck???

Yes...very. Knowing I may not get my computer until next Tuesday (my spring break) is very, VERY discouraging... *sigh*

They are calling tomorrow, and I am having the person who will answer for me (dunno who it will be, just whoever is here I guess) ask if they can please upgrade it to airmail. I doubt there would be any problems...

Where the heck is it? Judging from this and other posts, FedEx needs to look seriously at their "Home Delivery Service" - whatever happened to "Absolutely, positively get there"?

Don't know. As of 14:00 on 3/30 there is still no update on the FedEx tracking site. The last time my computer has been accounted for was on 01:52 on 3/26 when it arrived at the FedEx loacation in Orlando FL. Beyond that... ?
