almost seems like a fluke as the results haven't been reproducible. but a few who've used the "auto overclock" method are reporting 5400-5600 scores. however the test typically crashes on the second run. but still 6k+ is now the score to beat. i'm guessing it's probably a heat issue.

yes you can achieve those scores, some cards can. Some cards wont break 4900.

On a real note you probably wont be able to play at those clocks for long. Computer cancer will kick in.

i say prolly, because i dont have a ultra.

Here it is with quality settings. The 6036 was with max performance settings.
I cant wait to see what this card will do in the sager

Uggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh, I know you probably can't say much, but can you at least say it should be coming in the next 2 months or something??? I guess that the most we can hope for is the Ultra within 4 weeks. Any chance that there could be a major overhaul?

Good try though, I cant blame you

the 9860 with the ultra would kick major ass.

I just called nVidia too.. they wouldn't tell me a thing... sigh
post #116 of 170
when they won't tell you anything, something is seriously wrong with the situation. But maybe they just have direct communications with clevo/sager and don't tell any juicy things to resellers

3 more business days left in April! Are we looking at May or June for the revised motherboard/Ultra update for the 9860?

I have so much confidence that it will be out, that I instead spent my computer budget on a Madone 5.9 SL. http://www2.trekbikes.com/Bikes/Road..._5.9/index.php
I don't need the laptop until August, so I can wait. Hopefully by then, AMD will be hooked up to an Ultra or 850.

Go look at the Turions performance compared to the P-M, you won't be pleased. All the Turion has going for it at this point is 64 bit support.

True, I was thinking of the FX desktop chip.
