Charging Battery Before First Use

Hi,
I am getting my Dell Inspiron 9300 this afternoon, Do I need to charge battery for 8 hours or more before first use?
Or can you use it and charge battery at the same time on first use?

When I got my 9200, I just started it up without plugging it in. Not sure if that is the best way though. So you should be fine anyway you do it, but charging first is probably better.

Charge your battery for at least half an hour before using the computer in case of a power failure after you powerup.
