Driver issues.

I updated my drivers after installing xp pro, using the whgl drivers found on the cd. Now im trying to install the radeon a 3.7 cata drivers and it says "extreme error" try installing standard vga driver, which i did already?

the cat 3.7's should of installed a folder somewhere. In that folder are the actual videodrivers, which you have to update manualy threw device manager. It's either that or you forgot to uninstall the video drivers before updating them.

if ur using the 9.73 drivers then they r the same as the 3.7 catalyst drivers.

officially those drivers don't support mobile based chips. unoficially, it's a work around to get them installed... more hassle then i need, so i don't do that.

as Jebus already mentioned... the 7.93 drivers ARE the 3.7 Catalyst drivers. so no need right now anyway.

which is on the CD right next to the WHQL drivers.
