nvidia display drivers

are the drivers from nvidia's site usable with the 9860? i tried downloading the latest forcware drivers and it would not instal them because it said that they were not compatible with my system.

i know the drivers from the sager website work. but, they have twice on me lost the native resolution after i installed software (microsoft and doom 3) forcing me to un-instal and re-instal the drivers.

Yea you need a modified nvdisp.dll is something like that file whch has instructions for the driver to detect supported hardware. What Deuch said do that. It will work . I didnt have any problems with the card per say but yea you have to have a modified .dll file for the driver to detect the 6800. think of it as forcing the drivers to detect the card.
