Messenger bags/shoulder bags, how-a you say-a?

Thread Starter
Since there's a purely backpacks thread, and Id never want one of those, I figured we'd need a messenger bag-thread as well. I just hope I mean the same with messenger bags as you yanks do.
What I mean is something like this from Gravis!

But big enuff for a 17".
And me being a girlish lad, they gotta look nice as well.

Any comers?

I've yet to find a messenger bag that'll work with the 9300...
I've seen mention of the first bag somewhere around here and that it was too small.
Also...I've yet to hear from anybody that purchased a Crumpler bag (not backpack) that works with the 9300...

My Booq Folee Messenger (see link in sig) fits the XPS2 well and the strap covers up the computer completely. It's very well made and I really like the layout of the bag too. My only problem seems to be how thin it is. Currently, I have the XPS2 along with it's power supply (huge), a Sony PSP (in case) along with it's power supply, an iPod photo (with power supply/USB cables), a few papers, and about an inch-and-a-half of books inside. The bag holds it all and the pockets are well laid-out, but it's pretty much packed to the gills. I'd really like the ability to hold more than this.

I have a Crumpler Crisp Suit (link in sig) coming today to do a comparison. By all accounts, this bag is absolutely enormous. I'm planning on comparing the two and keeping the one I like best. The Crumpler is $89 + shipping at JR.com right now (great deal), while the Folee Messenger was $159+ shipping. I'm hoping I like the Crumpler better.

Looking forward to hearing about the Crisp suit from Crumpler...please keep us updated.
I'm assuming if the XPS will fit so will a 9300?

I have a Sampsonite bag for my 600m, and I really like it. I don't think my soon to arrive 9300 will fit though, so I'll have to look a bit.

I just posted a separate thread comparing the two bags I mentioned. Check it out and ask questions in the thread. I'll do my best to answer them.

Targus City Gear Miami Messenger Bag

I'm using this one with my XPS/GEN2 and it seems to be working out well.

Is this thing padded well? I recently got the Mobile Edge Backpack.. but geesh that thing is damn huuuuge. Felt like I was going hiking in the back country So I am looking for a decent alternative.

I have that Targus Miami too, taking my laptop between work and home each day. It's decently padded. It's not special air-foam or something like the little square bubbles in the more expensive bags, but it's still some good protection. I think maybe it's 1/4" padding on each side and bottom. The 9300 fits in there nice and snug, and good amount of room for power, mouse, extra battery and some more accessories.

Good deal for the price.

Too much weight on one shoulder for me. Cuz I also got a couple of those fat hardcover books to carry.

I have the Crisp Suit. It's fantastic. It was a tight fit in the beginning (but did fit without a problem).... but now it's perfect.

I like the looks of this Oakley bag but the page doesn't give enough views or details of the inside.

If it's not to late, you may want to try this place.
