Hello everybody,
While searching the net for the RPC1-patch for the Toshiba SD-R6112 that will arrive next week in my brand new 8890
(my first Sager by the way

) , I found the following website:
RPC1 for SD-R6112
I tried downloading the 2 patches for the different builds they provided since I don't know which firmware actually comes with the DVD-R/RW drive.
Link for patched X030 RPC1 for 10xx firmware
Link for patched X730 RPC1 for 17xx firmware
I don't know what the result will be when you click on the above file-links but I get the nice following message:
Me??? Stealing Bandwidth??? NO WAY!!!
Now, it's possible that the link to the files is incorrect. But, it seems nobody on their forum is mentioning anything about being unable to download their files. I presume it all has to do with the fact that I am residing in China at this moment and of course connected to the internet through a Chinese ISP
. I must mention that it's not the first time I encounter problems downloading files from websites outside China.
Anyway, I'm stuck as you can see/read and was wondering if somebody could try the above links and check if they are able to download the files or not. That way at least I will be able to figure out if it's really a SARS.....I mean Chinese-internet problem-thingy.
Hoping somebody can help here
