Lonzo's quick i9300 quick format disk

There was discussion about Dell including a recover partition on the HDD. Well, I think I messed up mine when I did my first clean install. If it is not messed up, I cannot figure out how to access it. I still wanted to do an unattended installation disk though, that way formating would be a snap. Well, I have come across a few problems on my way to doing this.
1 Many of the drivers needed to do an install are not found on the WinXP disk.
2 I am guessing Dell is using propriatory parts and software, thus just adding the drivers to the disk really wouldnt help. Since after you format the have to be installed and the computer restarted.
3 There are many of these such drivers that have to be installed and before that extracted. If I went ahead and extracted them, I just think it would turn into a major hassle to have them all installed.
4 The bluetooth module MUST be on before the bluetooth install will complete.

To the meat of things. I dug around online and found alot of unattended most of them just simply telling how to slipstream SP1 or SP2 into the install. Finally I found one that did I thought was very helpful. http://www.overclockers.com/tips1167/

I personally will be making my install include MS Office XP, Opera, Winrar and Fraps. Still I have the problem of the Dell drivers though. So what I did was download all the ones that I needed for my laptop. As I was downloading and installing them, I would rename each one so that I knew what it did the next time. I didnt use the display driver, I just got one and modded the INF, from www.laptopvideo2go.com I am using the 76.10 ones with 30.66p INF.

If a slipstream install is too much for you, then just download all the drivers, making sure to rename them, that pertain to your lappy. Then burn those and your favorite programs to a disk and give the install process a go.

Also, If anyone wants the disk that I made up to do a fresh install, let me know I will email it to them. It has all the Dell drivers I needed plus the modded display drivers. Although, if you got a different NIC or video card it wouldnt be useful to you.

You could also use Norton Ghost 9 (or PowerQuest Drive Image, which is now part of Ghost)... you cant really make it any easier than that

Are you using the software "Dell Media Experience?" If so, where did you find it? I've looked on the resource CD and it's not there. Now when I push the play button for 2 seconds it complains that "The Dell Media Experience is not installed blah blah blah" and I cannot seem to re-assign the button to something else more useful. And of course, I hate to have a button that is not working, ugh...
