(XPS2) only on black backgrounds single pixel stuck on red?

There is a single pixel stuck on red and is only noticable on dark backgrounds, just a very very small dot. I tried rubbing and it wont come back to life. I do have the LG screen. The LCD doesnt have sparkles and it also doesnt have the light leakage. Based on your experience would it be best for me to keep the screen or will i have better luck returning the notebook to get an lcd without any stuck pixels. It doesnt bother too much but i guess it would be cool to get perfect screen if thats possible.

This is your notebook that cost big bucks, not mine. If you don't mind the stuck pixel, and can live with it for as long as you keep the system, than its up to you....I would send it back, if it were mine, and keep doing so, until I got the best one, until my 21 day return policy period was about to run out...

do they send out the replacement first?

If you have a good warranty, ask them to send a tech to your house to replace the LCD.

I think one of the most important things when buying a laptop is getting decent warranty, saves you from a lot of cross shipping headaches. Well call them up and try to convince them to send you an lcd replacement kit, that is if you feel comfortable doing it yourself. If not then you're gonna have to send in your XPS 2 to them and probably wait 7-10 business days before you get it back.

Tainoindian I have the same problem with my i9300. One pixel stuck on red. I talked with a dell representative tonight and he made arangements for shipping but I am having second thoughts about sending it back. Too many horror stories about people getting screen replacements that are worse than the ones they sent in. What was your experience with your xps?
