HELP tweaking my screen and other issues XPS2

Got the xps 2 today. I have the LPL0000 and the colours look rally washed out. Slight leakage at the bottom on black screen but no sparkles. Yet when I surf on the internet, for example the Yahoo home Page, all the written text look pretty clear while the yahoo logo, somo photos and ad banners look washed out and out of focus. Is there anything I can do? The colours in general look very bland. Please help. This is the first time I have posted...actually the second, another problem with wireless not working. I love games but not very good with computers so promise a begginers review after I got these problems fixed. Thank you all.

right click desktop > properties > settings > advanced > normal size 96 dpi

Thank you. I will try that. Any advice on the washed out colours? The blue on the explorer bar look more like grey...

Same screen as you and mine looks perfect maybe you need a trade in.
