I'm using the 8600, and I absolutely love it, but lately I've been having two issues. First, the USB mouse quit working. First thing I did was plug it into my room mate's computer to see if it was the mouse. Worked perfect on his. Then I plugged my ipod in to see if it was a problem with the ports. Ipod worked great. I reinstalled the drivers just to be on the safe side. No dice. On a wing and a prayer, I uninstalled SP2. The mouse worked for about 10 seconds then quit. I put SP2 back on, and nothing. Removed it, and nothing. Any ideas?
Second issue is with the intel 2200 card. It's not the famous 1mbps thing, but close. When on my wireless network at home, the network is fine for all other computers (including another 8600 with a 2200 in it). When I power my card up, it shuts the whole network down. Eventually, I'll get another few minutes of conectivity at full speed, then it will fall again. I can plug into the router with a network cable and turn off my card and it works fine.
