The real manufacturer of the Inspiron 9300/XPS2?

I was doing some searching of the ODM companies that supposedly make most of the laptops that brand name companies use.. and I couldn't help but come across this and notice a huge similarity in design to the inspiron 9300/xps2

It's an Arima W810-PME - could this be the sourced manufacturer that is making all our 9300/xps2's - could they be the ones supplying the sparkly LCD's that we've all come to love/hate to Dell?

That is the maker of HP's laptops. I believe Compal makes Dell's.

Thats not the same system, ports aren't laid out the same and the optical drive is in the wrong place. In the past Dell has used Compal to manufacture there laptops, I don't know if this is true of this system. My guess is that this is a Dell designed system and someone is simply paid to build it to Dell specification.

Probably Compal...but Dell institutes some tougher design requirements.

Dell and IBM are definitely the toughness kings of the laptop world. Dell is one of the few laptops that can handle a spill on the keyboard. My son mearly splashed some water on my Gateway's M505 keyboard and I permanently lost 3 keys.

It's definitely Compal. Take a look at some Compal notebooks, and you'll see the exact same keyboard. Of course, you'll also notice the Compal stamp on the motherboards of the 9200/9300/XPS2. Kind of a dead giveaway
