Upgrades....

First off, I'm not computer saavy but I want the best latptop now and I heard the Sager 8886 is it. I just can't wait to get the it but I would like to know a couple of things. How heavy is this laptop? The specs for the Sager 8886 even beats my desktop! The only thing it can't do is burn DVDs but I'm not concerned about that. Anyways how much can I upgrade to this computer? I know max ram is a Gig but what about the hard drive or any other part that I can upgrade? Thanks in advance.


*One thing: I am not a female! My girlfriend decided to be "smart" and put in her name as my screen name when I specifically told her to put my usual internet handle. The laptop weights around 12 lbs, or 5 kg, its n fact the heaviest i have carried, but, only the first time you notice it, then you get used (because there is not a really great difference from other desktop replacement notebooks).
As far as harddisks go, the 8886 can handle up to 4 simultaneous hard disks, of course you would have to sacrifice the tv tuner and the primary smart bay for this....well at this config, 4 60gb hd's: 240 gb total in a lappy, incredible isnt it? But you could always get the tv tuner and the burner, so you would only use the primary hd and the second smart bay, for a total of 120gb, at least now, when higher capacity hds come out, its likely that you will be able to upgrade.

Are you certain you can put a hard disk in the primary bay? I thought the max was 3...

The best way to change your name would be to just sign up for a new account and forget the old one. I'm sure PCTorque could delete your old one if you wish. If you're really concerned, I'd do this before you get too many posts up. :-)
