Dell wireless 1350 on i6000 keeps disconnecting

Hey guys,

my i6000's wireless card (Dell wireless 1350) disconnects a lot. How can i fix this? It doesn't happen as much when i'm actually using the internet, but if it's just sitting there and i'm not surfing the web, it'll disconnect for a min. or two, and then reconnect. I know it does this because that internet thing at the bottom right of your screen pops up like when you first connect.

do you have lots of cordless phones near by the computer or router? for me, once the phone rings, the connection status decreases tremendously, and even disconnects sometimes.

buy an intel 2200bg on ebay and sell that 1350!!! I had this happen to me before when I tried out the 1350. No more! Intel all the way baby!

btw what kind of router do you use?

I have the 2200BG in my 8600 and it does the same thing. This is linked only to a wireless printer, I'm plugged in for internet right now. I'm almost wondering if it's a defective card. It messes with my wireless network at home too.

I think there are many variables affecting dropouts. Campers on both sides of the Intel and Dell seem to be evenly divided.

Try an earlier driver. I'm not saying that the new driver might be defective but that new releses either change the default settings, or add or remove some features.
