The reasons that most notebooks don't have those giant video cards are simple. They require a large amount of space for proper cooling and they're massive power hogs. This isn't
the desktop market, so people need to look at more than "omG did it win this benchmark?"
I'm not aiming for an X700-using laptop because I'm poor. I could easily buy an XPS Gen 2 right now. I'm aiming for one because I'd like to see a good four hours of battery life.
And, believe this or not, performance near to that of a desktop Radeon 9800 Pro is not
