Heya all, I've had my sager 5680 for about 1-1/2 years, never a problem.
At march 12th, i deleted some of my crap on the hard drive (photo's in photoshop, mainly) and since then, whenever i play a multiplayer game, (multiplayer only, not singleplayer) I get these lag spikes. Sometimes it takes approx. a hour to get one, others it starts right when i get on, I've updated my gfx card (newest omega's) Did a de-frag, even went as far as to uninstall all of my games and reinstall. Im dreading a system wipe mainly because my internet is really, really hard to install, and i have about 6 hours of just UPDATING a few games. Im clueless on what to do. my stats:
3.2 ghz HT p4
1024 ddr3 ram
ATI 9600pro (once again, updated drivers)
i use a Dlink 2.4 ghz Airplus wi-fi card.(1.5-3.0 mbps wi-fi connection speed)
Windows XP SP2.
I think thats it, *NOTE* i do NOT have updated chipset drivers, but seeing as i didn't for the other year and 1/4 i didn't think it would matter.
