Very beautiful indeed...

W3-HOOV? Hmm...maybe Asus really liked President Hoover?

How is the heat? I read a review that said that it got pretty hot. Nice looking laptop though.

Nice laptop, but where's the power button?

I think the power button is on the side of the hinge, it looks like that glowing blue button in one of the pictures.

It is glossy, but whether or not people complain about them, or rave about them, is really up to the person. I REALLY like the glossy screens. A lot. Some people dont like the Glare that they have, doesnt really bother me too much.

Asus' design never is always top notch on their ensamble notebooks. I was thinking about getting this as well but settled with more power then looks.

Cheers though. If it had the x700 and a better resolution then I would of jumped on it.

Sweet Lappy! I really like the Asus laptops. The way they hinge their monitors is neat...like this one and the W1N.

To tell the truth the body heats greatly. Hot air is directed to the right just n your arm when working with a mouse. And if working at the table you almost don't feel the heat then when holding the device on your knees it turns uncomfortable. The bottom part of the notebook heats greatly both with average and maximum load. The central part of the keypad also heats when running resource-demanding applications.

Wow what a nice system. Very sleek. Where's that review?

I know I love looking at W3V pictures... If anybody would like to see more pictures then go here: http://www.notebookreview.com/forums...TOPIC_ID=15096
A person who bought a W3V in the Netherlands posted the pictures, so some stuff may be different than the US version/package.
Ah, right now I'm stuck between either purchasing the sleek and sexy W3V or the handsome and powerful Z71V...

I have decided to go with the W3V over the Z71V. Although I'm sure the Z71V is a great system, I really like the size/weight and design of the W3V. In my opinion the only thing nicer about the Z71V is the video card. I was worried that having only 64MB of video ram could be a problem considering that some games may start to require 128MB (If some dont already, I'm not sure). Anyway ASUS just released a bios update that allows additional system memory to be shared with the GPU. So with 1GB of system ram, you get 64MB on-board system ram, and another 256MB shared. The 6600go peforms almost twice as well as the x600, but other than gaming, I assume they should both perform equally as well.

This looks like a sweet lappy, thinking of getting one for college. I believe the w3v for america is darker than the one in those pics, however I could be wrong. Any way we could get an extensive review of this thing including some benchmarks?
