S360 Battery Question

Hi

I was just playing a game on battery power (power management turned off) and suddenly, without warning, the S360 turned off. Is this normal (i.e. i expected a pop-up warning) and if it is normal, do you think this can corrupt the data/hard drive?

Thanks!

I found out this morning that it actually did do some "damage"...had to uninstall and reinstall the game I was playing -- Microsoft AOM. With the 4200rpm drive it took forever! I guess it didn't finish writing what it had to do and a settings file got corrupted or something.....does anyone with the s360 know how to tell it to warn you when the battery is low when playing a game with power settings set to off?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

There is an Icon that appears in the bottom right of your screen when the battery is low. Unfortunately when you're in a game, you won't see it.

Check to see if there is a "beep" function built in to the power settings...some PC's have it. My S360 is all packed up for a trip right now or I'd look for you.

Hope that helps

If you set up hibernate mode, the computer will hibernate when the power is low so you have enough juice to save what you are working on to the hard disk.

Thanks All! I set-up an alarm and hibernation to go into effect when battery level reaches critical....thanks again!
