Losing Network Connection

I'm having a slight problem with my 4760. I like to leave my computer on all the time and plugged in, and when I leave AIM on it seems to lose the connection after a while. When I come back its as if I signed off AIM but AIM doesnt actually sign off, it just seems like it was "frozen", or stopped updating all the sign ons/sign offs and IM's. So basically, if I leave my computer for more than 15 minutes I cant recieve messages when I'm away. Now im wondering, is this some sort of network card settings, or could this possibly be my Internet service that is causing it? I did change the settings on my computer so that when I leave it sitting, it does not go into any sort of power saving modes (like turning off the hard drive, powering down, or turning off the monitor) Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem before?

Have you checked the advanced settings of the network card. There are also powersettings independant of the OS power. Might be worth a look. One way to tell might be when you come back is you get the baloon showing the network status in the systray. Assuming you are running XP.
