i sent it with the fastest way possible (fedex, standard overnight) (i sent my laptop on monday they received it on tuesday at 9.30am, took 10hours to get there - i live in new york city

they issued the credit on april 1, 2005 (money is not in my account as of now, it should be tomorrow or so)
so do the math

I would expect a new coupon to be out Thursday. I think thats when the current one expires.

lol what current? there's no current coupon that works
post #8 of 53
It's still the current coupon. Each coupon either expires after so many uses or on the experation date when the new coupon/deals start. But I have to admit this weeks coupon was jacked for some reason

Sorry for going a bit off topic, but: Are the coupons the only way you can have discounts of that size in the US? In Europe, not having coupons, the good old fashioned "call them and haggle" seems to be a viable option...

Ordered my 9300 with the coupon yesterday. Lucky me!
I almost pulled the trigger on a 9300 with the latest 35% off coupon, but with all the upgrades and extended warranty/cc the price is getting close enough to the XPS 2 that I'd be kicking myself if I don't get the 6800 Ultra.

I'm trying to hold out for the next good deal on the XPS 2. I sure hope another decent deal on the XPS 2 comes up in the next few weeks.

It works, but only results in $115 savings...not $500.

I'm still saving up my self for an XPS 2. I did get the credit from dell but its for only $1500 and they wont let you pay the difference with a credit card when using your dell credit!!! So I'll probably end up waiting for another $800 coupon or at least something close.

Oh and does anyone know how long it might be before seeing a XPS 2 in the dell outlet? I have checked there and they don't even give the option to search for the 9300 or XPS 2. They are probably still too new and sending out the canceled orders as new orders come in.

I tried around midnight or 1am last night and it said that coupon has already been redeemed. Let us know if a new coupon comes up tomorrow (Thursday).

Serba: How did you get your price so cheap, what's your configuration? My configuration (1gb ram, internal wireless nic, 80gb HD, & backpack), came to just under $2700...

I configured mine (to $2834 w/ some accessories), it automatically added the $400 DellHomeCustomers discount looks like (so the total shows $3234 - $400 = $2834). I tried adding this $800 coupon, but it doesn't seem to work.

Is there a way to remove the (weekly deal?) coupon and use this better one? Or am I already as discounted as most people can get?...

I called Dell Sales and he said he could do the 9300 with that coupon, but not the xps2. This was combined with an existing 9300 offer, so the total still only came to $2750. *sigh*

Update! I just config'd a 9300 online with the same coupon and it DID take $800 off, my new total was under $2200! Now I'm researching the differences between the XP2 and 9300...
