Still no XPS GEN 2 Coupons huh? - Page 3

It sucks, but well worth the wait when the XPS Gen2 coupons ever come out and maybe they'll add something for free like a RAM upgrade.

Rebate and coupon combos are nice...

Thanks for the info. I hope mine goes as fast. My XPS came to me seemingly ok. But every game I tried to play it would just freeze after about 2 minutes of playing. The main menu of Halo would freeze before I ever got in to the game. I called Dell tryigt o get a exchange for threee days and spent a tad over 17 hours on the pone being transfered and hung up on. Decided to just get a refund. Funny thing when I asked for a RMA to get a refund they asked did you try oir would you just a exchange, I said I been trying that for three fuxxing days, lady said I will help you, I will walk throuh all the prompts and the right person with you, 1.5 hours oin the phone mostly on hold, got hung up on. I tried googling Michael Dells email, couldnt find it hehe. I called my Corp Rep that my company deals with, she was unable to help me because I chose to do a online non EPP purchase. Rant over....

Personally, I wouldn't return it because mine game was crashing. I would first explore different video divers. Is it crashing with every game you have or only Halo?

All agmes with fresh load from scratch and dell image load. Both does the same thing. Tried several drivers. It started bluescreen with a Video was stuckion endless loop, nvs4XX>dll type error on soem games. This was with Dells load out ofd the box and with scratch load. I have several PCs and know how to troubleshoot. This system obviously had some type of hardware issue even though it passed Dell Diags, I thnik something was a miss with my system. Might try ordering another XPS2 or just go back to Sager 9860 think I iwll skip AW again, tried them once already.

Props...
You sound tech savy...

Have you tried killing the partition, formatting and installing yor on Windows XP and not the dell image? Then loading the drivers manually. But I hear ya, if your having issues....it sorta takes the confidence ot of you that you got a good lappy. In any case, good luck with your decision...

SirBa...

I didn't use a coupon:

I bought the XPS2 off a reseller that bought it with the $800 coupon and just wanted a profit and not the laptop. I paid the reseller $2,299 for it. Already have tracking# . It'll be to me Thurs.

I wouldn't have the guts to purchase a laptop off of Ebay, however i have sold some. Hopefully the warranty transfers with no hitch. Does that total include shipping and the cost of whatever payment method you had to make?
Actually,
I bought it off a seller I know.
I bought a 9100 from him when Dell had that "half off sale" back way when. So....no problem there. He gave me a deal since I bought from him already. Sure, he pocketed maybe $200-$300 but....I'm okay with it.

Oh, total came out to $2,328 with shipping via PayPal.
No tax.

and yes, warranty is all in place. No problem in transfering.
actually, it's still under the 21 days.
