A690 battery life!

Thread Starter
so i just bought a dell 9300 and the screen is TERRIBLE, so i thought
'hey' ill wait a while

and then my compaq laptop drive died last night and now i'm thinking i shouldnt keep messing around and waiting for something to be released that probably wont.

pretty sure i wanna get the a690 but my biggest concern is the battery life, quoted as 1-2.5 hours.

what am i really likely to get under different situations?

the lack of an extended battery truly sucks!

I just returned two Dell XPS Lappy's - terrible grainy displays and short battery life too - and I ordered an A690 - I dont care about the battery life cause I am almost always hooked to the charger......

I've been using my A690 for ten days now and I'm amazed by this wonderful machine. I've found no week points yet, apart from battery life. The default option is VAIO optimized and you get exactly 2 hours if you're just browsing the web or typing. However, I'll be testing it in other situations pretty soon.
I can only recoomend this prodigy to everyone planning to use it as a full-featured desktop replacement.
